Tuesday Crime Report

Theft

Deputies made their way to 311 East Big Springs Road Saturday where a resident reported dogs had killed five of his goats within a two week period. He told deputies that he had seen the dogs on several occasions but did not know to whom they belong. Loss was approximately $420.

Aggravated burglary

Numerous items were reported stolen from a Rabbit Trail Road home on Saturday. The victims told sheriff’s deputies that someone had kicked the back door open stealing computer equipment, game consoles, a refrigerator, coat, rifle, flat screen TV, camera and bass guitar with a collective value of $5,195.

Aggravated burglary/vandalism

Deputies responded to an Augustin Lane, Loretto home Saturday where the resident reported the glass had been busted out of the front door while the family was away. It appeared that no entry had been made and nothing seemed to be missing. Damages to the door totaled $1,000.

Theft

Police officers were dispatched to 1809 Mahr Avenue around noon on Sunday. The resident reported that his chrome West Coast Choppers bicycle had been stolen from the front yard. Value was approximately $200.

Vandalism

A resident of Fain Court reported to police officers Sunday that someone had busted a window on his 2008 Kia. He reported that the car had been parked behind his residence. He told officers that prior to discovering the vandalism he had noticed several teenage boys riding bicycles in an area adjacent to his home. Damages were estimated at $500.

Theft

Deputies were summoned to 125 Highway 20 in Summertown Sunday where a resident reported a bicycle had been stolen from his front porch. He told deputies that the bike, along with a scooter, had been secured to the porch with bicycle locks. The bike is described as a blue, Giant mountain bike with LED headlight and strobing taillight. Value is approximately $100.

Vandalism

Officers made their way to Bobby Newton Auto Sales on Monday after damages were discovered there. Employees reported a window had been broken out of a 1988 Ford Bronco and a Kenwood CD player stolen. In addition, employees discovered the culprits had broken the front window of the Cleanup Center. Damages totaled nearly $1,000.
